A tragedy accompanied by a victory was bestowed on Friday the 12th of  May  as our soccer and basketball team travelled to Falcon College. The week before the matches presented themselves, our teams dedicated a lot of their time to intense practise sessions. These sessions would have made  victories foreseen but not all is as it seems

Despite their descent  efforts to attain victory The boys senior  team lost 8 nill to the well prepared Falcon boys. Bongani attempted to score but his efforts were in vain. On the contrary the girls basketball team were impressive as they managed to be victorious in their task to defeat their opponents . The score was 10-8. Special thanks to Sibusisiwe Selimani who scored the most shots assisted by Sithabile Mpofu, Princess Makamu and Hope Mpofu.

MASIYEPHAMBILI COLLEGE VS KYLE COLLEGE

18 May 2019

On Saturday 18th of May the 1st boys team soccer, the U17 and U19 girls basketball team travelled to Kyle college in Masvingo. The group, along with their coaches, left City hall at approximately 8am and only faced little to no difficulties along the way. The two buses arrived at Masvingo at approximately 1pm and their respective matches took place at 2pm which gave them a decent amount of time to recuperate before playing.

1st team boys played a soccer match against Kyle 1st team for a period of 90min. The game between the two competitive schools was entertaining to say the least as both schools failed to land a single goal against the other in the first half. It was only towards the end of the second half the Kyle was able to score a decisive goal against Masiye there by winning the game with a score of 1:0

U15 Imbizo District Soccer Tournament (Masiyephambili College vs Eastview vs Tenyson Hlabangana vs Emganwini)

24 May 2019

Friday the 24th marked a narrowly saved victory for Masiyephambilii College as the under 15 boys participated in the Imbizo District Tournament. The other participating schools were Eastview, Tennyson and Emganwini.

The tournament kicked off at 1200 on an excellent note as the weather was rather fair allowing the players to play without it affecting them. Students came as a form of support and encouraged the players. Their support made the players more enthusiastic.

Emganwini presented great competition as they were well trained. They could actually be portrayed as the greatest competitor during the whole tournament.  As a result they came in first followed by Eastview. We stood one position from loss as third position whilst Tennyson came in last.

The coaches commended the players for trying their best. We picked changes that could be made to the tactics so as to get better results in future.
